Our Services

Success in therapy looks different for everyone. For some, it may be finding clarity or peace with a difficult experience. For others, it may be developing strategies to cope, perform better, or rediscover connection and pleasure in life. Whatever your goals, we are here to support you on that journey – confidentially and with care, skill and respect.

Adult psychological therapies encompass a variety of therapeutic approaches to address mental health issues, emotional challenges, and behavioural concerns in adults. These therapies aim to enhance well-being, improve coping strategies, and promote personal growth.

Children’s therapy, often referred to as child therapy, encompasses a range of therapeutic practices designed to support the emotional, behavioural, and psychological well-being of children and adolescents.

Psychologists bring immense value to organisations by addressing the human aspects of business. Whether promoting well-being, enhancing culture, resolving disputes, or driving performance, their contributions are integral to achieving sustainable success.

Our assessment pathway has two stages. Stage 1 is a comprehensive screening assessment, for neurodevelopmental disorders. Stage 2 involves in-depth diagnostic assessments for the specific neurodevelopmental conditions identified in Stage 1 (ADHD and/or Autism). Our assessments are robust, and evidence-based, combining clinical interviews, questionnaires, observations, and information from other sources.

Our assessment pathway has two stages. Stage 1 is a comprehensive screening assessment, for neurodevelopmental disorders. Stage 2 is a diagnostic assessment for Autism, which includes an in-depth interview about early development, an ADOS, a cognitive assessment, a sensory screen or school observation for children and a multi-disciplinary review to consider the evidence and reach diagnosis.

This assessment helps to identify specific learning strengths and weaknesses, enabling educators and parents to understand a child’s unique learning profile. It can identify conditions such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, or other learning disorders that may impact academic performance. The findings inform the broader development of tailored educational plans, such as Individualised Education Programs (IEPs) or Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP’s).

Life can present challenges that feel overwhelming, isolating, or difficult to make sense of, and it can be difficult to find the right level of support even from those very close to you. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand what’s happening beneath the surface. At Leicester Psychology Clinic, we believe that meaningful change happens through collaboration – working together to explore the specific issues holding you back and finding new positive ways forward.

We tailor our approach to each individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies to meet your specific needs. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, past trauma, relationship difficulties, depression, or simply feeling stuck in life, we’ll work at your pace to build insight and turn this into resilience and confidence. Therapy is not about quick fixes, but about equipping you with the mental tools and understanding to navigate life with greater ease.
