Clinical Psychologist

Dr Harper is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Dr Harper works with clients of all ages; she has particular expertise in working with children and young people. Dr Harper provides assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of common psychological difficulties including depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and child behavioural problems. Dr Harper is highly experienced in working with children and young people presenting with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and behavioural difficulties and/or co-morbid mental health difficulties. She also has a particular interest in working with individuals presenting with obsessive-compulsive difficulties (OCD).
Dr Harper utilises a range of therapeutic approaches but has particular expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Following qualification as a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Harper has undergone further training in the assessment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and in the assessment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She has also received further training in clinical supervision.
Prior to working in private practice, Dr Harper worked in the NHS for over 11 years, her most recent post being in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
