Dr Vicki Edwards

Dr Vicki Edwards is the Clinical Director of Leicester Psychology Clinic. She leads a team of highly experienced, multi-disciplinary therapists, including psychologists, OT’s, sensory therapists, speech and language therapists and psychotherapists.  
Dr Edwards is a Clinical Psychologist with over fifteen years of NHS experience working in a specialist team within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and eight years in private practice working with a variety of clients, both adults and children. Dr Edwards sees clients for a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, PTSD, complex trauma, relationship difficulties and child behavioural & parenting problems.
Her expertise includes working with children who have a history of trauma and attachment difficulties, and their carers i.e. foster carers, adoptive parents and residential staff. She also has extensive experience of providing consultation and training to professionals, for example, foster carers, social workers, and teachers in areas such as trauma, attachment, self-harm, mental health and sexual abuse.
Additionally, Dr Edwards works with elite athletes and professional sports organisations, addressing mental health issues and promoting well-being in the workplace.
Dr Edwards has post-qualification training in attachment therapy, group therapy and supervision. She is a BPS accredited Clinical Supervisor. Within this area, Dr Edwards has written and published research, and presented at both national and international conferences on the topic of child maltreatment.
